Artist Statement
As I approached this year where I would be working in 3D, I was, admittedly, quite apprehensive. Delving into this realm of art without much prior experience was a challenging feat. Nonetheless, emerging from this experience has widened my horizons and enhanced my craft. What drove me forward and why I decided to challenge myself this year was all due to the people surrounding me. Though I am a quiet and reserved person, the positivity and encouragement that exuded from my peers gave me reasons to persevere. I create art to be able to express myself in a raw and tangible way; I hope that others can see my art as an experience that will not be forgotten. My goal as an artist has always encapsulated the main idea of storytelling and sharing. In retrospect, I think that this year in AP 3D has excelled beyond that goal and has developed into a way of being able to express ideas in a creative fashion.
